For all of you who are looking for information on how to get into medical writing, I’ve set up a Pinterest board. The board includes links to many sites that present the tools of medical writers, disciplines about which they write, training sources, and ways of navigating the waters if you’re transitioning into medical writing from another career.

Pay special attention to these links:

(1) DIA and AMWA have medical writing courses, some of which are online.

(2) Sources of useful medical writing documents on clinical research and development topics are provided–these can be used to gain knowledge of the types and complexity of documents medical writers work with.

(3) Research and writing tools include Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, PubMed, and more.

(4) Job boards include Medzilla and Biospace. There are many others not listed.

Hope this board is helpful to you. Let me know if you think of additional sites that should be included!
